One of my personal favorites from the previous GBWC was this AGE kit from Yeye Francisco. I am a sucker for Full Armors and this one fits the bill once again.

I have always known that our Pinoy Gundam modelers can compete with the best of them worldwide. So when I broached the challenge of a Scratch-built / kit-bashed MG-ish 1/100 rendition of MSA-0011[Bst] S Gundam Plan 303E, more popularly knows as "Deepstriker" - to the great Vanz "Anazasi" Hilario, I knew right then and there that the investment will be worth it. I have been a big fan of the Sentinel Deepstriker design for years and it was only fitting that the first, non-resin Deepstriker in this part of the world was created by none other but a Filipino.
Very proud to have been a part of this project. Ibang klase talaga diskarte ng Pinoy. Makes me even more revved up to help our other local modelers display their talents on a bigger scale.
Anazasi's work is just the beginning, custom Mamaws showcasing the brilliance of other PinoyGundam modelers will be coming soon. Maybe another Deepstriker variant perhaps? Heheh!

When I was a kid my mom always used to say that refrigerators with the best cooling system are the most resilient. "Nak yung pridyider natin G&E ilang taon na pero daig pa yung lamig ng mga bagong ref na lumalabas ngayon"
Well she was half right, the coolest ref indeed starts with the letter G, but spelled different:

What an awesome ref, its just not the epitome of coolness- I feel full already just by looking at it LOL

I have been away from the modeling scene for almost 3 years until mid last 2012, and by then I was so out of touch that my panache for quality works have dulled through the years. I was happily content with OOTB works, flatcoat here and there, silvered foil stickers did not even bother me.
Not until I saw this monster.
Enter Neograde's 1/100 Resin Kshatriya, modeled by one of our prominent local artists Doy "Doyzilla" Alvarez.

Enter Neograde's 1/100 Resin Kshatriya, modeled by one of our prominent local artists Doy "Doyzilla" Alvarez.
Admittedly this inspired a paradigm shift on my personal perspective as a collector- it led me to focus on premium quality works from then onwards. This was one of the best-made renditions of the Neograde model in the modeling scene- and despite it being around a year old already, Doyzilla's 1/100 Resin Kshatriya remains a timeless classic.
