Well this is a snap-build and panel-lined put with a sticker review for the HGUC 1/144 FA-93 HWS Nu Gundam.

FA-93HWS Nu Gundam

The Nu Gundam has a steroid type version of its own and it was called the HWS or the Heavy Weapon System. The Nu Gundam sports a big armor on its chest, skirt, and side legs. Then apart from its big armors it also manned a big guns and a big shield. It has a lot of firepower up on its sleeves. And the Nu Gundam HWS kind of fire power are the fin funnels, hyper bazooka, beam rifle, large beam saber, beam saber, and the large beam cannons and also there are some extra hands. What more can you ask for such a cool Gundam with lots of guns and other extra cool stuff.

This kit is really fun and easy to snap build. The only annoying part to snap build this kit was the fin funnels. There were 6 fin funnels to build all of them are on its separate parts it takes a lot of time, patience, and effort to build each one of the 6 fin funnels cause there are some small parts on building it so be careful on not losing the small parts. There are also some big parts that were easy to snap build. The good thing or the plus part about the 6 fin funnels. Is that they were very tight and it doesn’t fall off or collapse easily when you put them in their respective orders or places. Then once you put it on the back of the Nu Gundam it doesn’t fall off easily.

I was really surprise on how this kit manage to balance itself up despite of the kits bulkiness. Like for example 6 fin funnels on the back then that big shield on the right and a big gun on the left that feels so heavy. Also despite of numerous attachments on the Nu Gundam itself the kit feels light but not so heavy. The center weight of gravity on Nu Gundam was on the body itself.

Articulation wise the kit can do some numerous normal poses but the only problem will arrive when you already wanted to pose its right arm holding that big shield it loses its grip easily. It can’t withstand the heaviness of the big shield when you pose the right arm up or straight right. You can actually pose the right arm sideways while holding the large shield but with just only a matter of seconds before it falls down. However on the left side when holding the large beam canon it doesn’t lose its grip and you can actually pose it straight up. On the legs articulation it is also good but it can’t do a split move. The only thing you can do on the leg part is the half kneeling pose, and a forward kick pose it can’t do an upward 90 degrees kick. The body articulation is also good you can turn the body left and right but you can’t do a 360 degrees movement on the body because the front skirt is blocking the way. The head articulation is also good you can do some small left and right movements because there are two launchers that are blocking it you can also move it up and down.

You can actually convert the HWS to an ordinary Nu Gundam by removing the frontal armor the left and right leg armor and then the frontal skirt armor. While removing the big left and right leg armor you can swap it with an extra small black armor for the legs. You can also remove the attached big shield booster to become a normal Nu Gundam shield. The only disadvantage in converting it into the Nu Gundam is that you will expose the inner part of the armor of Nu Gundam with an incomplete part. I guess that you can’t actually swap the normal Nu Gundam armor parts to the HWS Nu Gundam because it has a different positioning part.

FA-93HWS Nu Gundam

So all in all this is an excellent Nu Gundam version you’ve got everything the big guns, big armors, complete with fin funnels and other cool extra stuff. This is definitely better than the normal Nu Gundam thank God I didn’t bought the normal one instead I waited for the release of Nu Gundam with HWS. I think that in a matter of few months or a year we will going to see some FAZZ converted to HGUC.
